North York Moors National Park Authority send all Planning Applications for the Parish to Hinderwell Parish Council for our comments.

If you want to see an application and do not have access to the internet, please call at the Parish Office to see a full paper copy.

The Parish Office is open on Mondays from 9AM to 1PM, but call the Clerk to make an appointment to view at any alternative day or time.

Parish Maintenance

Maintenance of the Parish is carried out by both the NYCC (North Yorkshire Country Council) and the SBC (Scarborough Borough Council).

The NYCC is responsible for all the roads, pavements and roadside verges. They repair pot holes and care for roadside drainage, unblocking the gutters, sweeping up the leaves, etc.

The SBC cares for all of the other areas of the Parish, including harbourside, car parks, parks and play areas.

Yorkshire Coast Homes looks after all the social housing and grass areas in their vicinity.
